San Mateo Tasting - In The Books

Family Winemakers presented its 1st tasting of small, family owned wineries from across California in San Mateo after 23 years in San Francisco on August 17.  Wine trade, wine media and Pennisula consumers made Fiesta Hall at the San Mateo County Event Center a bustling place for the 160 wineries that poured.  The tasting also featured the iSip Lounge for consumers who want to taste wine retailing for $75 or more.  And FWC held its first educational wine seminar with Master Sommelier Evan Goldstein exploring eight wines from throughout California that aren't the usual suspects when thinking of producers and places.

Join us for Family Winemakers next tasting on March 15, 2015 at Fairplex in Pomona.  It's our 1st tasting of small, family-owned wineries from across California at the home of the LA County Fair.  The event is moving after 11 years in Pasadena to broaden its audience.  It's only minutes down the freeway from our old digs.  Winery registration opens in mid-October.
