On Sunday, March 10, 2024, Family Winemakers will return to the Del Mar County Fairgrounds for our Southern California Wine Annual Tasting Event. This year's event is met with exciting changes to our platform and offerings! We will be welcoming Southern California Winery Associations to our tasting lineup.
We have dedicated the first TWO HOURS (11 am-1 pm) to give access to TRADE ONLY. We will only offer one single-priced ticket to the consumer, who will be given entry from 1 pm - 4 pm.

*NEW THIS YEAR* We want YOU to contribute to Research and development. All winemakers who attend the tasting will be given the opportunity to participate in a Blind Tasting through the Vintner's Institute. Additional Exciting Details will be released by January 2024!
License TYPE 81 INFO:
All License Type 02 wineries have the ability to sell wine to our consumers during the tasting event. Each winery is responsible for submitting its annual Event TYPE 81 application and fee ($50) to your local ABC department. After approval of your Type 81, each individual event requires an additional form 222 that will be submitted to the San Diego ABC office.

Your sign-up will not be confirmed until payment of the tasting fee and 2024 membership dues and/or dual association membership information are received. Confirmed sign-ups are updated weekly on the FWC website. Wineries must submit their insurance certificate to FWC or our specified agent before the event.

| DEADLINES: Registration is open until January 31, 2024. This is the final deadline unless sold out before that date (no refunds after this date or confirmation). This deadline is the last chance to be listed in the tasting program. Tasting fee, RBS-certified ABC server number, and Certificate of Insurance are due to be confirmed. FWC reserves the right to cancel registrations for non-compliance. Because of FWC-sponsored legislation, we allow ABC license types 17/20, 85, and 02 to pour at our events. Additionally, 02 license holders may sell wine at our tasting events after applying for and receiving your Type 81 permit and submitting your completed 222 form to the ABC per event. * |

| REQUIREMENT TO POUR: a valid Certificate of Insurance (COI) must be on file in our office prior to the event and is required to be able to pour. COI''s can be sent directly to our office address by your agent. An example COI pdf sample can be available upon request - PLEASE ASK and we''ll gladly send you one. I understand that it''s my responsibility to have my agent prepare and send a COI prior to the event to pour.
As of July 2022, REQUIREMENT TO POUR: Responsible Beverage Service Program (RBS) Training Acknowledgment: I acknowledge that our winery will comply with the provisions of the RBS law that requires a certification for staff pouring at our table for this event. I will also provide FWC, at the time of nametag registration, with the corresponding Server ID for each person representing our winery.* |
